Strategic Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for REDD+

The Government of Mozambique (GoM) is among one of the many countries taking part in the program of Reduction of Deforestation Emissions and Degradation of Forests (REDD+) funded by the World Bank Fund for Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF).  To inform the REDD+ strategy with environmental and social dimensions relating to current standards of land use and forest management, the GoM is conducting a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SESA). The SESA is an integral part of the FCPF requirements for countries participating in REDD+ and requires broad consultation with stakeholders including communities and other forest-dependent communities Clients benefit from our worldwide skills base matched by a strong commitment from the company’s senior management to provide quality services and sustainable solutions.
